*** DESCRIPTION ***
Cenotes and very common in Mexico especially throughout the Yucatan Peninsula.
Cenotes are natural pool or sinkhole (often times inside caves), resulting from the collapse of the covering limestone bedrock that exposes the water from underneath
Many cenotes were used by the ancient Mayan Civilization for sacrificial offerings.
Cenotes typically have an underground water system connecting several together. These passages are often large enough for scuba divers to explore.
Cenotes are usually very unique looking, which make exploring different ones always a treat.
